Food Tek is the deli located in the 555 building. The menu is big, but the seating area is lackluster, since Food Tek deals mostly with takeout. Our table was dirty and sticky. The low quality cold cuts on my Italian baguette sandwich made Subway look good. However; the roll was really good. Its hard to recommend Food Tek when Potbelly is only 2 blocks away.

I ordered a Salmon Club, which I have never seen before on a deli menu, and was willing to give it a shot. Grilled Salmon, avacado, bacon, letuce, tomato, mayo on a multi-grain roll. Sounds good right? Well, it actually WAS pretty tasty! The bread was really good - it must have been a HONEY multi-grain bread because it had a sweetness that complimented the avacado and the salmon well. The thing here is that the roll is not really well suited for a sandwich of this type, and was messy to eat. The other thing is that the salmon is definitely not grilled. If anything, it looks like it may have been poached (or, perhaps more likely, from a frozen filet). However, I am not above eating frozen fish from a in-and-out deli like this and wasn't expecting 5 star restaurant quality anyways. It didn't taste weird, and was seasoned lightly salt and pepper. I enjoyed it. As for the complaints that the space is too small.... it's located in the bottom of an office that was built in the 1960s. What more do you want? From what I could count, there were at least 10 tables, and it was twice the space than what a lot of deli's in Center City have. I live in south Philadelphia, and you could fit both Cosmi's Deli and Sarcone's Bakery inside Food Tek. and still have room to sit. There aren't many staff during lunch from what I could tell, so it's wise to order ahead (which I did, just in case); that might explain why tables might be a little dirty as well. Although getting here is pretty inconvenient if you don't work in the same building, I wanted to give this place a shot (at least now I know how to get here and won't spend another lunch break driving around in circles). I would need to try more of their food here to give it a better rounded review, but for the most part I was pretty happy with what I got. Four stars to give this little place more of a chance. If I am able to order here more often I'll update with another review.

This place will never get over three stars, but what can you expect. They have a pretty good monopoly at this part of City Line Ave for people not wanting to get in their car or cross that shady bridge. SO with a monopoly comes just ok food and a higher than average price. The breakfast is the best part of the menu but don't be hungry if you are asking for delivery. We were DIRECTLY across the street at 1 Presidential and it still took forever to get our food.

Food Tek is pretty standard food, I used to work across the street so i would stop over for lunch now and then. The specials are usually pretty good! There is an older gentleman who usually works the register... he is the best, a staple of the food tek experience, nice guy who will not forget to ask you if you want to get a can of soda with your meal (great sales guy too!) Most of the food is pretty decent, all the typical deli / sandwich shop stuff is available.. I have ordered a Reuben here more than once and most of the menu items are pretty tasty! It can take a little while to prepare sometime but you can just hang out and read the paper while you wait.. Cheese fries here are awesome but ohhh so bad for you!! but soo awesome.. but.. so bad!.... anyway, good spot if you are in a pinch and need a quick bite!

I like Food Tek. This was one of my lunch spots I went to all the time when I worked for B-101. I usually stuck to their turkey wraps or turkey reubens, but I've heard they make a pretty good cheesesteak.

Its an ok place with nice people working there I like the idea that they use real turkey on their sandwiches Everything else is average
